CIENCIA
SCIENCE
Listen to the incredible song that all the whales are repeating now Scientists discover that the males copy the same melody from each other, just as though it were the chorus of a popular song, during each mating season ABC / Madrid 14/April/2011 - 7:41 p.m. Humpback whales have their own version of a hit "single." At a given moment, within a single population, all the male humpback whales begin singing the same mating song. But the song's pattern changes with time, with new and apparently catchy versions that spread repeatedly through the ocean, almost always traveling from west to east. The research was published in the journal Current Biology. Here (click above) you can hear the song that they are singing now.
